Is abc.xyz a Domain Hack by Google

With the recent headlines indicating Google’s new holding company named as Alphabet. I have been wondering why Google have chosen .xyz to launch the abc.xyz. If you visit abc.xyz you’ll read an article ‘G is for Google’ from Larry Page. One of the thought that occurred to me is that ‘abc.xyz’ could be a Domain Hack.

Abc.xyz may well be translated as ‘Alphabet’. And, this could be the reason (among many) why Google may have chosen the ABC name that alternatively be called as alphabets with .xyz ending which is again a part of English alphabet structure.

The meaning of Alphabet According to online Dictionary is ‘a set of letters or symbols in a fixed order used to represent the basic set of speech sounds of a language, especially the set of letters from A to Z.” And, here in this context ABC…XYZ merges well as a perfect domain hack.

Further, no other new gTLD would have been suitable except .xyz to denote the ‘Alphabet’. The talk is going on whether Google owns Alphabet.com or not and which is at present is not resolving. And, it’s still not clear what is Google planning to do with ABC.XYZ in the future. Lets wait and see how this super story of Google unfolds.
