One of the new gTLDs about which I’ve not noticed much buzz is .xyz. Most of the domainers were having difficulty in accepting .xyz as a respectable and worthy new gTLD. Despite of negative reviews the dot xyz on its first day of general inviolability launch surprised most of us. It surpassed the 15000 registrations mark on the first day.
The ntlstats.com shows .xyz at number 4th position with 38153 registrations and it’s too good. It seems it may well maintain its position under top 5 new gTLDS. But, I’m skeptical that it will reach the 1 million mark in its first year. One million is really a big number for a new gTLD. Anyway, I’ll like to say Good Luck to them with that 1 million mission.
In one of my post earlier about .xyz I showed my interest http://domainjust.com/category/ngtlds/page/2 and I guess .xyz is proving its worth.
Well, I decided to own at least one .xyz domain and after several searches I zeroed my decision to register Vocabulary.xyz.
With 38k’s .xyz registrations already I think it’s quite hard to get a premium .xyz domain.
I regged my domain at GoDaddy and later realized that Uniregistry is giving the best deal for registering a .xyz domain. My advise, look for best deals before you register a new gTLD.
I found Vocabulary.xyz better than bankloans.xyz or bookmark.xyz the domains which I noticed were available during the time of registration.
Having an exact match domain is very important and I think new G’s gives businesses and individuals an opportunity to get them cheap. I think new G’s are good for those domains with high search volumes.
