Though the world economy suffered a lot due to COVID19 still the above figures are quite encouraging and positive when it comes to domain investing. In terms of total sales 2020 is behind by 31.7 Million but one has to note that the highest value of a sale made in the year 2019 is that of VOICE(dot)com for $30 Million. So, if we remove that one sale out then the figures for both 2019 and 2020 in terms of dollar volume of sales stands balanced.

The average price per domain name in the year 2019 was $1389 and in 2020 was $936 only. As you can see from the above table. There is more number of domains sold in terms of quantity than in the year 2019. The difference is 18.7k number of domain names. It’s a good sign actually – as more inventory moved than compare to last year. The decline in the average price could be due to COVID19 and other uncontrollable factors.
